Shivateja Pampattiwar — M.Sc. in Geoinformatics, geospatial researcher, published author, and founder of BMGT.

Shivateja Pampattiwar founded Bhoo-Mitra Geo Technologies to make spatial understanding more accessible and more useful. A geospatial specialist with a Master's degree in Geoinformatics from the Central University of Jharkhand, his work spans ISRO-funded research, classroom teaching, and commercial cartographic production — a combination that shapes how BMGT builds its products: technically rigorous, but designed for the person actually using them.

Background

  • Research. As a Project Associate in the Department of Geoinformatics at the Central University of Jharkhand, he worked on an ISRO-funded DMSP project on permafrost identification and hazard assessment, developing landslide and avalanche vulnerability maps using multi-criteria decision analysis and Fuzzy AHP techniques.
  • Publication. His peer-reviewed research on coastal vulnerability in different geological settings — a comparative study of the Kerala and Tamil Nadu coasts using Fuzzy AHP — is published in Sustainability (MDPI).   • Teaching. He taught ICSE Geography at an international school in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, working with students from over 30 nationalities and integrating GIS and remote sensing concepts into classroom learning. That experience directly informs the design of the MAPZi practice map series.
  • Practice. Before founding BMGT he worked as a freelance GIS analyst, delivering spatial analysis and custom mapping for external clients using Google Earth Engine and cloud-based satellite imagery processing.
